Spring Pinwheels

Here is my newest project. I call it Spring Pinwheels.

Here it is on a dresser I keep in my dinning room for extra storage. The Picture is of my cutie at Easter. I like the way it brightens up this space.

Christmas things

I have been busy with my two beautiful children but I have managed to make some Christmas ornaments. These are made with metal rings that have 4" x 3/8" strips looped around them. They remind me of the tissue paper wreaths I made as a child. They are quick to assemble and make great swap ornaments. They are perfect for those Christmas fabric scraps. I added seed beads to look like winter berries. You will find step by step images below. I think they turned out adorable.

Busy Monday

These are the tomatoes that I decided to make into tomato sauce. Our garden has been plentiful this year and I thought that I would can some of it to prolong our enjoyment. This is my first canning experience...I hope it works!!

The hot water bath, before the ice bath...to peel the skin from the tomates....it really works!!
